28th Annual Gala and Auction

On Saturday the Cape Fear Chapter of the American Red Cross held its 28th Annual Gala and Auction at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside. An estimated 230 guest attended the Gala including Frances Weller (WECT) and Si Cantwell (Star News). The Holiday Band played beach music while the guest engaged in an informal shag contest. A slient and live auction was the highlight of the evening. Many exciting and unique items were auctioned off. These items ranged from an opportunity to fly a real fighter jet to a Stedman Pro Guitar signed by James Taylor. The evening was a success and we are already looking forward to next years Gala.
